Welcome to Dalek Design. My name is Steve McDonnell, and since completing the Visual Communications Program at Alberta College of Art in 1985 I've worked in various advertising agencies, design departments, and multimedia companies as designer, illustrator, art director, website developer and programmer.  What I gained from all that experience is a valuable knowledge base which I now apply to my own company - Dalek Design. I do work, as you can see from some of the samples on the Featured Projects section on the right, for a wide variety of clients.

DALEK DESIGN specializes in all aspects of website and multimedia design, print advertising, visual identity development, promotional literature, which includes brochures, newsletters, tabloids, CD package design, book design, band/music industry promotional material, signage, storyboards for film and TV, and illustration both black and white and colour, in a variety of styles.

The main thing I've learned over the years in this business is: the design serves the client - "It's ALL about the CLIENT ... and Dalek Design works in partnership with the client in a co-creative partnership in order to arrive at the best solution...
